Hi, my name is Silver Streak Lady aka Evelyn Nelson. There've been some very interesting silver flashes and dashes of devastation along with blessings in my life. I’m always passionate about drawing out the gifts and talents of others. I’ve been a songwriter since 1988 and a singer since 1964. Between the murder of my biological mother at age 10 while in an abusive foster home (never got to know her) and the execution-style murder of my biological father (an ex-Kingpin) at age 39 my healed heart causes me to sing and encourage others to love and forgive. I enjoy eagles soaring, butterflies, double rainbows in the sky and networking with people in the media industry. My Papi, a musical story that was shown in 50 theaters across Los Angeles County CA, presented by Homeward La. (www.homewardla.org). My song Traumatized Tattered and Torn was played on Women of Substance Radio…I recently found out my eight songs were played in 78 different countries in 19 Allocations by Royalties Performances Categories according to my ASCAP - IDA (International Development Agency) spreadsheet. {While living on Skid Row homeless, my music started being distributed Internationally, though domestically nothing was happening. I’m still trying to get to the bottom of which copyright songs of mine are being played without compensation in those 78 Countries in 19 Allocations by Royalties Performances on my ASCAP IDA{International Development Agency}. I'm looking forward to being part of a positive community that celebrates, educates and networks the musical media space. Too blessed to be stressed and I choose to be better and not bitter, hoping to leave leverage and legacy!
