Polar was the first piece I finished and actually liked. It represents a personal accomplishment of making music I actually want to listen to. For me, the title always had a double meaning (1.5 of a meaning?). The feelings evoked in the song are polar in terms of cold, detached, somber, etc. But they are also (bi-)polar in that the cold sections are balanced by a vibrant and upbeat chorus. I lost the project file for this song long ago. So it will never be anything other than what it is.
