The Golden Egg = I’ll write a song in French especially for the winner ! I wrote this song back in 2022. There was a lot going on in my life at the time. I was travelling a lot and spent a lot of time in airports. Coming back to France from Canada where I met some friends, a visa problem prevented me from taking my flight. I wrote all the lyrics sitting on the floor at the airport, thinking of the irresistible urge to touch, to see and talk to my girlfriend and of the incredible yearning you could feel in this situation. At the time, all my songs were written in English, but not this one: my Canadian friends find my native language so beautiful, and convinced me to use it in my next song. It was really a revelation in my mind: I began to discover how my own language could be beautiful and full of poetry. That’s why this is song is so important for me: all my subsequent songs will now follow this way of writing. Sometimes in life the grass isn't always greener on the other side and what you're looking for is already right in front of you.
