"Crossing the Threshold" symbolizes a passage from one phase of life to another. The central theme, previously hinted at in the final moments of "Uncharted Realms," is emphasized with intense drums and distorted 808s. As the piece progresses, a reharmonization of the theme briefly emerges before giving way to a preview of what's to come in the next drop.
