For my second drop I present to you a very unique, sensual and beautiful MEGA-COLLAB! Kooldrink, the producer, is one of the original pioneers of the Amapiano sound from South Africa. After falling in love with his beats in my Dj sets I just had to reach out to do a collaboration. His sense of melody is exceptional and deeply emotional which is what I live for so I sent him a track I’d written with Nigerian artists Pretty boy D-O and Higo in London last year. What’s beautiful about this song is that it brings together 4 people from across the world, pushes the boundaries of this new genre but pays homage to the origin of the sound. For the artwork I collaborated with Zimbabwean artist Moonsundiamond - a member of Cyberbaat - the brainchild of Linda Dounia whose mission is to support African visual artists, elevating and celebrating the work of those that, despite being at the top of their field, may be overlooked due to access, visibility, and support.
