I gotta admit that I was initially reluctant to release this song bc I felt like I wasn’t ready. It was heavy on me. While I was writing it, I felt like I was living in a cage for a moment. The only thing that probably kept me sane and running in this post-heartbreak season of uncertainty was my faith in God🙏🏼I also learned that it was up to me for the most part… ’cause no one will run a race for you and help you do the hard work within yourself. Same thing with relationships...no one is gonna help you let go of someone or some kind of a difficult situation. It’s all up to you. It was all up to me to make a decision and find freedom in letting go. And boy, it’s been quite a journey to get to this point…and here I am dancin’ through the city⚡️🏙
