This song is, as you probably guessed, about time passing and things changing...I wrote this song one night that I couldn't sleep when I was living in a basement apartment in Boston, MA. I wrote it with just my guitar first, but when I started to produce it, I thought it sounded best as a House/Dance track...taking a lot of inspiration from Kaytranada, Michael Jackson, and Snarky Puppy (for the breakdown section) I guess more specifically the song is about always feeling like you're the one to blame when problems come up in a relationship. For me, it always felt like no matter what the circumstances were, no matter where we both were in our lives, I assumed the responsibility for any issue, and willingly too haha... Let me know if you've had a similar experience! Why do think we do that to ourselves? Take on the blame for something that isn't entirely or at all our fault...I think in a lot of cases it's just a lot easier than it would be to confront the problem or person head on... Anyways!
