Velvet Meadow throws us a curve ball with his new single "When The Moment Comes". He wanted to capture something fresh in the realm of indie pop. Bringing his Fiance/artwork artist Cameron Cox along with the recording process. Velvet wrote the instrumentation with his old 1980s Poly 61 synthesizer while house sitting for a friend in St Augustine Beach FL. After numerous attempts to add his own vocals to it without success, he played with the idea of seeing if Cameron would want a go at it. After a couple takes they had the song ready for the mixing phase. "It was a pretty cool experience. We had to house sit my friends beach house for 2 weeks. It was like a free vacation. I brought all of my gear with me, and on one nice day I set up everything outside with the greatest views possible. Wrote the song all day along with maybe p**sing off some neighbors, I don't know haha. I couldn't get a good vocal melody for the life of me, and almost threw the track out until I had the idea of seeing if Cameron would give it a go. I remember absolutely loving the producing side of this track. I went HAM with effects, and tricks Ive gathered along the way.
