"Writing this track provided me with so much relief honestly. I remember being super frustrated with life, and work. I felt as if I couldn't get anywhere no matter what all of my elders tell me about working hard and saving what little money I made. I was 24 years old with a broke down car, and living with my fiances parents. No matter how hard I worked at my day job I couldn't afford to buy or rent a house. I remember all I wanted was just to get to a point where I can make music full time more than anything, but I felt the chains of this man made reality pulling me back with constant taunting. If you listen to the lyrics closely you can pick up that frustration. I wanted to write something for my generation that says we are in this together kind of. I know its a little goofy but its how I feel. Us artists barely get paid as it is in the industry, and we always come last. So why care, screw the money.
