We’re shooting the shit, and he shows me a Twitter post of some terrifying footage captured by an overseer in a distant apartment block during the invasion of Ukraine. The footage shows a well-lit view of a Ukrainian highway. Taken from maybe a five-story high apartment building. There’s a fleeing civilian in a tiny white sedan hooking up the highway.. then, a sudden scream from one of the overseers… and a giant Russian tank mows the vehicle down like a blade of grass.. before they could even cross the border. The footage becomes shaken and fills with the sound of uncertainty and fear. I myself was shaken by seeing this.. to even imagine how people may be affected there right now… I can’t fathom it. All I can do is make art and hope that it helps people in some way. This tune came to fruition after seeing some terrifying footage of the events in Ukraine.
