Distorted guitar riffs, heavy drum samples, and heavier sub bass are combined to showcase my diverse background of hip hop, trap, and blues which have come to fruition in a new, alternative sound. "WASTED" is a dark but romantic take on the aftermath of a weekend partying. It was a song that was born from heavy emotions, after fumbling things with a girl I had been talking to for weeks because I got too "wasted", but also touches on addiction and the seductiveness of the our vices. The line at the end of the hook "please don't be scared, this is only a dream" pulls on surrealist ideals of being in a simulation, but also the idea of not being scared even when you are a dark place. I wrote, recorded, and produced the entire song.
