L.I.Y.A. emerged during a an awakening that began in 2015 while at University. As my worldview was shattered piece by piece, civil unrest & agitation surged to a fever pitch. As an indigenous man living in the Deep South, I felt the gravity of a downward spiral pulling at my psyche daily. Feelings of fear, shame, confusion & rage grew steadily. Likewise did my apathy. In pursuit of a constructive channel for these feelings & thoughts, I found L.I.Y.A. tucked away in my subconscious. Raw. Unfiltered. Uncompromising. This is not TikTok music.
