Right when my breakup happened, I was unfortunately filled with shock, hatred, confusion, and misery. The songs that I wrote at the time were impulsive, emotionally charged, and truly reflected how I felt. I wrote this song after I had a good six months to really think about the relationship that I had. It came from a calmer mindset. With a heart filled with tremendous sadness, but now with the added gratefulness about the whole experience. Over all, life for me is sad right now. But without the bitter, the sweet parts won't be as sweet.
