For those that don’t know; the title of this song is an homage to the shy-hottie Hinata from Naruto. I had an RSV when I wrote and recorded this back in late 2022, you can tell I couldn’t really breathe through my nose in some parts of the verses. I was spending heaps of time inside, reminiscing on how alcohol in any shape or form ends up leaving me feeling rubbish. I was pulling from a specific moment in my early 20’s where a mate and I were riding the Ferris wheel at Meredith Music Festival while Neil Finn was playing ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over’, so I naturally ended up paying homage to the hit in this hook.
