“‘Bandaid’ is about me trying to come to terms with reality. I wanted to express the turbulent pain that I was feeling over a lost relationship. I kept trying to tell myself a bunch of things that I didn’t fully believe, in the hope that they would start to become true. Some things in life truly just run their course, but acceptance can be difficult for me and that’s why it feels like ripping off a bandaid. It will sting at first, but I know it’s for the better.
