A friend of mine once said “the most powerful thing we can do as songwriters is write the words we most need to hear”, and when I was going through it a little while ago, I tried putting this bit of advice into action. From that moment of insecurity, self doubt, and anxiety I was able to write myself a letter of reassurance that came out in the form of this song. It somehow dug me out of that uncomfortable place within myself, and, as I’m equally nervous and excited to share it with the you all, I recognize that the words I’m most nervous to say are the words that are the most important to share.
