I wrote this in the middle of a situationship that I had a feeling was going to end. She had taken a trip to another country and what felt like night and day, became extremely distant. I was left in the dark with this gut wrenched feeling that I had done something wrong. I was tired of the sleepless nights wondering, so this song was my coming to terms with the issues and forcing myself to confront how I feel, even if it wasn't directly to this person. They'll probably never hear this song or know it's about them and that's for the best.
