Well, the song surrounds a recent incident that happened with my mother where I almost lost her. The doctor said she shouldn’t be alive and I am very lucky to have her. So I started with this song on how it might feel to lose somebody, or anybody you love. Love makes us go through so many obstacles and scenarios that enable us to reflect on how beautiful and sometimes how sad the world is. In the end, love is the one thing that seems to always exist and to be what our heart truly cherishes. The main piano riff comes from an inspiration of seeing Lana Del Rey at Coachella. I recorded what I was going to say in one take and it actually came out pretty good so I just left it. Some of the words are left up for interpretation, but I think that is the beauty of the lyrics and the emotional drive of this song.
