This track began when I went over to Gaspar's house for lunch a few months back. Both of us had recently gotten pretty addicted to granular synthesis and spent the first couple hours we were with each-other just messing around and making the weirdest noises possible. Gaspar then pulled up this beautiful recording of a harpist playing a piece live in this big open space with loads of reverb in the sample. We chopped it up and ran it through a bunch of granular channels until it made this almost digital sounding pluck. I messed about on his Ableton Push creating the beat whilst he cut up some MS-20 white noise stutters for percussion to layer in. When I took the track home I sat with it for a bit as I felt it felt a bit too heavy and abrupt than what I usually release but ended up adding a bunch of chords, arpeggios, more drums and arranging it to what it is now. The track kind of represents a different space for both of us that neither of us had really ever written in before. It feels much more heavy than a lot of what we make but also very emotional at the same time and I've grown to love the journey that it takes you on.
