Started this song in denmark awhile back with some new friends off bloom. mette was pregnant helping me write (that’s who’s voice you can hear on the record) and Mads was producing. I stayed out there a few weeks in a hotel just making things. 2 lonely people kept sticking out as special so I wanted to finish it. when i got back we went through many days of strings - tried a lot of different things. i had the song written on baritone guitar but had this bigger idea in my head. while finishing it up mette and mads had their baby named Folke. he’s probably heard this song 1000 times. I hope he likes it. all i know is that kid is going to be so cool and has the best parents. we made many records together while in copenhagen. mette was by far the chillest pregnant person i’ve ever been around i hope you all get a chance to listen to the song. it’s different. a lot of amazing women played a part in making this. and much much love to Mads for bringing it to the finish line he is so great to work with.
