Both artists have decided to use this drop to contribute to the relief efforts in Hawaii since wildfires ravaged communities this August. This NFT also grants you access to the stems of Emma's original arrangement as well as future allow lists for Emma Miller. NFT holders will be invited to a special, token-gated livestream on August 31st with Emma. Eligh, a self-described “genre-breaking, obsessive bass fiend” has continued to sustain himself as a salient figure for over twenty seven years within the increasingly fickle and rapidly revolving world of hip-hop. The Los Angeles native has maintained his respected status by fearlessly veering from a traditional trajectory which is often limited to beats and rhymes. Instead, Eligh has chosen to fabricate projects that incorporate the gritty sounds of the UK dub scene, the unorthodox styling of indie rock, the lush guitars and honesty of folk music and the complexity of jazz, all without losing the listener in a musically esoteric composition. "My goal with remixing Emma's already beautiful song was to have no goal at all, just to ride wherever the energy took me. I did want to change the vibe in a sense of movement with the drum patterns and speed, but maintain the mood because both of us are very moody artists in our own right! I had to add a verse because the topic and the idea of shifting her song into a dark/moody hip hop song were irresistible."
