I created this song after grieving the loss of a dear friend of mine. I was going through a lot at the time and when I got this beat from my producer Joe Dirt I became obsessed with it immediately. It took me a while to get my thoughts together and finally rap on this beat, because I was lost for words and didn't know how to express myself at the time. Eventually I knew I needed to go ahead and get back into my comfort zone, and once I started with the first bar of this song the rest of the lyrics came to me effortlessly. Although I loved what I did, I was planning on a few other projects at the time of this recording and didn't release this song immediately because of that. After holding onto the record for a little over a year, I eventually started to wonder if I ever wanted it to be released. The emotions I get from listening to this recording bring me back to the day I was in my room listening to it on repeat and coming up with no words at all, only memories all flooding into my brain at once. Eventually, going on tour with my hardcore band "Inner Peace" in August, I decided it was time to drop this song along with another two that I made around that time as well. I am very happy that the world has been able to hear and enjoy this timeless music with me.
