The version I stumbled upon was played with a ticking metronome on what looked like a typewriter, as someone joked in the comments, but was actually a chromatic keyboard. After I had written a couple of verses to the video I decided that I must learn it on the piano so that I can perform the song to its full extent. After loads of practice, here is my composition recorded from my electric keyboard, processed through an SP 404 SX and tracked on an MPC Live II
