From TK: There’s something special about the song being mostly drums, bass, & vocal with sparse melodic accents. Really captures this feeling of the main characters lost in the void. Angel’s verse having no verb feels like a close up of him in a space suit but then being woken up by this huge group vocal that is his consciousness, going into the post which feels like a massive zoom out to reveal this vast landscape of nothingness, and the revelation that any civilization or rescue is too far out of reach. Bridge/outro sounds like a surrender to the void, accepting that mistakes happen and hopefully we’ll make better choices in another life.
