☽ ‘MOON’ Track 1/4 (Motherland EP) Produced by ALYSS x Nightfaces I was driving home very late one night on an empty road, staring up at the brightest full moon I think I’ve ever seen - the Sirius star decorating it to the left. I had just finished the book ‘Who Built The Moon’ by Alan Butler + had not stopped thinking about all the incredibly rich and fascinating research he had shared. I remember the most visceral, almost out of body feeling as I read his conclusions in the final chapter. Driving along entranced by this almost blinding, pulsating vortex above me, the lyrics and melody just started flowing out… >>>? TRIPPY MOON PONDERINGS: ☽ Ancient peoples across all cultures describe the time when we had no moon. Many Greek Writers from different periods mention the Proselenes (meaning “those that were before the moon”). ☽ Seismometers discovered that the moon ‘rang like a bell’ when heavy objects were smashed into it, suggesting it may, in fact, be hollow. ☽ Scientist R Foster (1965) claimed that the moon was in fact made of plasma, not rock. Mr Foster claimed that once his ‘profound and decisive’ investigations were proven, a complete re-investigation of the laws of nature would be necessary. ☽ Many esoteric circles believe the moon is the final portal through which souls reincarnate back onto this plane. Whatever the moon may or may not be or how and when it arrived here, it is surely one of the most mysterious celestials in the sky. I share ‘moon’ in honour of her mystery and her beauty.
