In a lapse of absolute uncertainty, stillness, and fear sometimes all we got is each other, or maybe all we got is ourselves as individuals. That's what my 2020 covid lockdown was like. For some periods, it was solitude, and in others I was in good company, this company, these friends were what made the world still feel together. I was far away from home, and far away from my family in a foreign country. I found myself alone for the most part of the year in my flat, they had left to their home countries early in the pandemic, and I was left in out flat. During this time I appreciated my solitude. I even romanticize it now, and in a strange way miss it. All I could do was music, cook food, and paint. I didn't have the pressure of "having to go to work" or university, because nobody could. In times of companionship, and times of friendship I felt normal, and relieved even though my family was far away in different parts of the world I felt whole. Ana Bulnes helped bring this song to life, and I thank her and all my friends in those times for staying close and getting through it all together. It was memorable after all. Andre Sebastian.
